view of Big Ben at dusk

Boy have we been busy! After unpacking, tidying, shopping, and getting into a routine, I can say our flat is feeling more and more like home. We had a friend from MSU, Carolyn, visit London for work. She didn't stay with us, but we managed to see her a bit and even had her over for dinner. This weekend, more friends from MSU are stopping by and next weekend a friend from BU. It is the American Invasion!

We also went to Switzerland for a long weekend to hang out with some of James' friends from college. Unfortunately, it hadn't snowed since since January, making the snow coverage quite poor. We only skied 2 days. On our off day, we did an easy walk on top of a local lake with a picnic lunch. Afterward we headed to a spa that had 3 outdoor pools, an indoor pool, multiple saunas and a hot tub. It was neat to see different areas around Verbier, although I didn't need to see all the naked old people at the spa.

James has to go to Spain for work, so I am hoping to tag along for a few days. I also hope my uncle will be there so I can see him and my aunt too. Another trip in the works is our honeymoon/one year anniversary. We were planning on Hawaii, but it isn't working our as we had hoped. I think we will switch to Italy and Greece. We have started researching a little bit but nothing is booked yet.

Now, as promised, "after" photos of our flat. We still need to hang pictures up on the wall. We finally got our hands on a drill so now we can get to it. We are also ordering a bigger tv this week. :)

I'd like to give a shout out to my friend Christian and Leigh. They are tying the know this weekend in Philly. We wish we could be there! Congratulations!

Also, my matron of honor is starting a new job this week. Good luck Krishna!
