Well the witching hour is quickly approaching. Here are two photos from parties I have been to in Connecticut. The top photo is from a Speakeasy/1920's party that was a send-off for one of our friends. Thank goodness Krishna and I were flappers a few years back. (And that I never throw anything away)

The second one is from my friend Jimmy's 30th birthday party. The theme was 1980's, and boy did people do it up! That is what I love about my new friends here. They love costume parties. Which totally works for me because I love to dress up!

February is the start of my 6th month in Connecticut. It's been in interesting journey so far. I have been lucky to make friends with softball and soccer. Working full-time again has been an adjustment, but I am getting the hang of it.

Tomorrow is a big birthday for me. As much as I grimace when someone mentioned the number, I am looking forward to leaving 29 behind. Aside from James and finishing grad school, last year was not the best. So here's to a fresh start and new adventures! First is NYC to celebrate aging with my BU girls and Penfield friends. I don't know if Manhattan is ready for the trouble we are going to cause. Next stop will be Rochester to see my nephew (due 2/13). Finally, England and the Swiss Alps with James at the end of March. I am so spoiled. And poorer because of all of it. However, I love traveling which makes it all worth it.
