Joe and I hosted Easter again this year. It was going to be at my place, but I invited lots of people. So we switched venues to Joe's. Of course, I made the menu complicated, but everything was delicious. Shane made kick-butt stuffed mushrooms and Lisa brought over some cheese and crackers and green bean casserole. Joe made awesome seafood bisque. We also had some Alaskan halibut and eggplant parm. Seth prepped spinach salad. Kate made cholla bread and boy was it yummy! James brought wine. For dessert, Cold Stone hit the spot before we slipped into food comas.

We dyed eggs and James took a nap. It was a busy day, but it was nice to spend time with friends.

A few photos are of the egg Joe made explode in the microwave. At least the wrapper really made it look like a football.

I am doing much better this week. Although I am on a 2 nap a day regime, my leg is feeling much better. I still limp around, but I am not using the crutches. They are wicked cumbersome and loud. The doctor I saw today said it was ok to not use them. He said that walking around pumps the blood around and doesn't allow for additional clotting. But I am on coumidin, so I should be ok regardless.

So I thought I would continue updating you on my fun. St. Patty's weekend I was invaded by Rochestarians. Krishna, Dave, and Lisa came up for a visit. They got in Friday night. We chatted and played Clue while boozing a but. It was a crazy weekend because the Animal Welfare Judging Competition was going on too. I coordinated the food donations and had to run around picking those up. Krishna got up and helped me on Saturday morning. Saturday night we did it up at Rum Runners. Here are some photos:

It was a hard weekend, but lots of fun. I love my girls and Dave is great too. Joe, Lisa (Trips), and Cory met us out. The bars were crazy, totally Lansing style. We busted it up on the dance floor a bit before headed over to Moriarty's. Luckily, Lisa (from Rochester) snagged us a cab ride home. Sunday morning's errands were rough, but I survived.
