Hello! Just wanted to update you. Thursday morning I went to student health services on campus regarding my calf pain. They determined my calf was swollen and sent me to the local hospital's emergency room. I had an ultrasound done on my right leg and discovered I had an "extensive" blood clot. It went from mid calf to mid thigh. I think that really means it moved from my mid calf up to my mid thigh and was causing a back up of blood flow. So I was admitted and had to stay overnight. Now I am on heparin and coumidin, just like my grandma. This afternoon I was discharged.

Thanks to everyone who called and emailed. I am not in too much pain unless I stand or walk. I should be back to normal soon, although I can't play soccer for 6 months because of the coumidin. Boooo! Looks like I will be doing a lot of swimming and spinning this summer.

I still have mono. My hands have also gotten worse again. They were healed up completely for about 2 weeks. Let me add to all this a pulled calf muscle. Well, I think it is pulled. My friend who is a nurse said it could be a blood clot. I can hardly walk on it. I am taking all these signs as my body rejecting the fact that I am still in school. Next week is the last week of class. Thank God.
