There are still more posts I need to make in order to update you on my life here in Michigan. I will jump ahead though to yesterday. I found out I have mono. Yes - the kissing disease. The timing couldn't be worst, since there is one month to go in the semester. It started last weekend, when I woke up with a wicked headache, puffy eyes, and severe joint pain. It continued throughout the weekend. I went to the student health services on Tuesday. The doctor thought I had a virus. I didn't know if I had had a fever though because I couldn't find my thermometer (don't worry I bought one that day). Fever the rest of the day Tuesday and all day Wednesday. I went back to the doctor on Thursday, mostly because I had a take home exam due Friday in Statistics was was afraid my brain wasn't working properly. The doctor didn't want to do blood work quite yet, so she sent me home. My headache finally went away on Sunday. The joint pain had been gone since Wednesday. My eyes are currently still puffy. I woke yesterday with a fever of 103.1 F. So I went back to the doctors for blood work. And viola! I have mono. My professors have been understanding. My adviser wants to take incompletes in all my classes but frankly I just want to be done with school. I just need to rest for now and figure all that out later. :P Being sick sucks.
