In December of 2001, Janelle* and I went to NYC for some Christmas shopping. There we went to a super old bar, McSorley's. They only served half pints of light or dark beer. It was there I drank my first entire half pint of beer. MSN did an article on US Irish Pubs for St. Patty's Day and McSorley's made it. They didn't allow women in until the 1970s. And yes the floor really is covered in sawdust.
I finally downloaded pix from my birthday through Utah onto my laptop. Expect several postings soon!
*I am a horrible friend and spelled Janelle's name wrong. I should more sensitive to these things given how often my name is misspelled. Janelle- I apologize.

Ha!--I read that, and was like, you have another friend named Janelle? No, silly, that's me. It's been a long week. That was a good time together.
I spent St. Patty's Day with Eryn in Newport! We talked fondly of you, yet never made a phone call. Silly us! But you were in our thoughts.
OK I suck and I spelled your name wrong. My supervisor this summer was Jenelle. And I am getting my masters degree? Sorry.....
