Happy New Year! I rang in the New Year with about 20 of my closest Michigan friends at Jared's house. It was good times and yummy food as we welcomed in 2008. Our town got hit with a bit of a storm. When I woke up today, there was 6 inches of snow on the ground. Sweet! Here are some pictures of my evening.

I hope you had a happy and safe New Years. With the holiday, I had lots of free time. So I tidied up my apartment and did some laundry. I also made a fleece blanket. It seemed to be all the rage this holiday season. You simply tie the edges together because fleece doesn't run or tear. I found some cool panels at Walmart. Total cost for fleece = $14. I had to buy sewing scissors to cut the fabric ($5) but overall it was a cheap, fun project. A few years ago, a friend made me a fleece scarf for Xmas. I might try that next.
