Today is World AIDS Day. AIDS and HIV are still problems, although it is easier to live with the disease with multiple medications. It is very important to know your status. MSU offered free anonymous testing yesterday in honor of World AIDS Day. They actually have free testing all the time, but you didn't need an appointment yesterday. Free testing is available everywhere, so there is no excuse not to get tested. It is a little intimidating, but worth it in the end.

Here is a biology lesson for you. Penguins live below the equator (for example at the South Pole, in Africa, in Australia, etc).

Puffins live above the equator, which is why they have them in Alaska, but they live in other places too.

Polar bears live at the North Pole. You may have heard that global warming is affecting their population because the ice they live on is melting.


So why does the new Coke holiday commericial have polar bears and penguins meeting?

I was going to write a longer post about how sad this is, but someone already did, sort of. There is a link to see the commerical too.

I just don't want the general public to have wrong imformation imprinted in their heads.

My trip home was non-stop. Per usual, I ran around the entire time trying to see friends and family. My dad was in town, so I spent a lot of time with him. Dinner at my bro's was yummy. I ate too much.

The biggest accimplishment of the reunion was the succesful reunion. Everyone had a good time, and I am relieved for it to be over. Wanna see some pictures?
