Sorry it has been so long. You know me, I like to stay busy.

Ok Tuesday night we had our second softball game. The other team forfeited because they were short on players. We ended up loaning them a few of our guys and scrimaging.

Wednesday night, we represented at the Yukon with kareoke. Travis and Tyler once again dominated the microphone. Jenny tried convincing me to sing, but I declined. I am thinking about "Magic Man" for my debut, but its a tough one!

Thursday night I worked at the hotel. The computers crashed. A party of 17 walked-in without a reservation looking for rooms. The cable wasn't working in someone else's room. It was hell! I had to go to the bar after work. Tyler met me for a cocktail.

Friday I stayed after work and scanned half of the photos I am using for my thesis. It felt good putting some time into my project. I borrowed a car from the center and stocked up on groceries. I am trying to go back to the eating and excerise habits I had before spring break (FLORIDA!). hmmm... frozen dinners. It is challenging to cook 3 meals a day for one person and not have it always be pasta or quesadillas. It reminds me of my semester in Woods Hole. Although I have cut back on the mac-n-chesse tremendously.

Saturday morning I went for a run before going to the hotel. Work went well, i.e. all the computers were working. As my friend Vicki used to say "Technology is only good when it works." Saturday night, a reggae band was playing at this cute resturant called Youly's. I met Tyler, Cathy, and the newest intern, Andrea, there. Tyler and I danced a bit. We went over to the Alehouse around midnight to play some songs in the juke box. Then we all went home.

Sunday was supposed to be my day off. My roommate, Nicole, and I were planning to take a 6 hour boat cruise. But my manager at the hotel wanted the day off for Fathers day, so I worked for her. It was a fairly calm afternoon. Turns out the weather got cold anyways, so a boat ride would have been brisk. Nicole and I went to dinner instead at Chrystos. We ran into some guys staying at the hotel and invited them to the Yukon for kareoke. Kareoke was a lot of fun. A few of the interns that rarely come out made a brief appearance. It was so good to see them!

Today I was back at the SeaLife Center. I am skipping softball practice so I can write a letter for emergency funds from MSU. Cross your fingers! Every bit helps. After I finish that, we are going over to Kathy's apartment for oriental chicken salad. Mine will be sans chicken.

This sounds totally blogger-cliche, but:

I'd like to give a big shout out to my mom, dad, Kristen, Geoff, Lisa, Courtney, and the virus lab at UR. I heard you guys have all been checking my blog regularly and I appreciate it! Feel free to leave me a comment sometime. Or send me cookies. Or magnets. Or a postcard.

Emergency funds from MSU means free money for my pocket, I hope. I need to start saving for the AZA conference. It never hurts to ask, right?

The constant sunlight makes it difficult to go to bed. I want to be out and about!
