There was an article on cnn.com today about the slaughter of American horses for foreign consumption. (FYI- Willie Nelson supports the end of horse slaughter too) It talks about what you can do to help (there is a link to contact your state reps in DC) and also a group that helps rescue horses called Habitat for Horses. They have horses you can adopt or ways to support them by buying horsey-gifts. Check out the article and the group for become involved!
