Well, my interview went well today at the MSU Museum. However, the boss is on vacation unitl next week. I would have to wait until Tuesday to hear back from them. I decided to lower my stress level and accept my first offer at the MSU Office of Radiation, Chemical and Biological Safety. I start Monday! Tomorrow, I am going to check out the local humane society and try and find a library. I have almost finished Lipstick Jungle, by Candice Bushnell, and it is really good! (Thanks Susie!)

I made it! It took Steve and I NINE hours to get to East Lansing. Both borders were backed up, andBuffalo had an unmarked detour we had to navigate. Plus, at the American border to come into Michigan, I had to open up my U-haul for the customs guy to look at. Yikes! (Did I mention the radio didn't work in the U-haul? I spent much time singing to myself. ha) Once we arrived, my hired help didn't show because we were so late. But Steve was optomistic, and it only took us 2 hours to empty the truck. Sunday, we hit Target and assembled my new desk (never again!). Monday, I left Steve at the airport. :( By then I headed over to Ikea for some retail therapy. Today I had an interview for an assistanceship in the biosaftey office and got it! But I have another assistanceship interview tomorrow for one that is at the Museum doing virtual field trips with video conferencing with middle-schoolers. It is such a relief to not have to worry about my tuition or health insurance any more. Phew! In the mean time, I am slowly finding a place for everything in my one bedroom apt. I met a few people in my building so far. Tomorrow I plan on lounging by the pool! It's all coming together. :)
